Requires all CA employers (except healthcare & correctional facilities covered under Title 8 section 3342, and businesses with 10 or less employees with no public contact) to:

  • Develop a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) with employee input
  • Train the entire workforce including on the employer’s specific WVPP
  • Effective date: July 1, 2024
  • Train annually, upon hire, when the WVPP is changed, or new hazards emerge
